Bob and Lloyd Barnes works

100 Mile House, BC

Self-taught artists, Bob and Lloyd Barnes are twin brothers who live near 100 Mile House, BC. Their subjects are painted solely from memory and focused around the flora and fauna that are indigenous to the interior of British Columbia. The brother's artistic approach is unusual as they collaborate on most of their pieces, often filling in bits and pieces of eachother's works before completion. Although small in size, one painting can take up to four days to complete with the intricate amount of detail the brothers add into their work. Besides painting, Bob and Lloyd live a very reclusive lifestyle, growing vegetables, taking care of their animals and living off the land.
